Men's Health Specialists
There is a great deal of information and marketing right now regarding the importance of Men's Health. This includes low testosterone, erectile dysfunction or impotence, and other sexual function problems. It can be very hard to separate the good information from the bad, and many men do not know where to go for help with these issues.
There is no specialist more qualified to help men with these issues than a Board-Certified Urologist. We have undergone years of training, and can offer advanced medical and surgical therapies to help manage men's health issues. Additionally, unlike many standalone clinics, we accept most forms of insurance.

Low Testosterone
Common symptoms seen in men with low testosterone levels are:
We evaluate patients with a comprehensive examination and interview, and then obtain labwork to complete the diagnosis. For patients who have symptomatic low testosterone, we have a variety of ways to effectively manage them:
|
Testosterone injections: Patients receive an injection once every 1-2 weeks. Most patients can learn to self-inject at home, and we encourage them to administer their own medication. We also offer the new long-term testosterone injection, Aveed (tm) which allows men to receive an injection every 10 weeks in our offices.
Topical Testosterone compounds: There are several gel, cream, and patch options available both commercially available products and custom compounded ones. These generally require daily application.
Clomid/Oral, HCG Therapy: For select patients, particularly young men who wish to preserve fertility, we can offer additional options beyond direct testosterone therapy.
Implantable pellets: We offer custom compounded testosterone pellet implants which typically are implanted every 4 months. This is done in our office under local anesthetic.
The only way to know if you have low testosterone is to get evaluated by a professional. Please contact our office today to set up an initial appointment.

Erectile Dysfunction / Impotence
At least 50% of men over age 50 have difficulty maintaining adequate erections. This can be a very embarrassing topic for men, but the most difficult part of treating ED is usually initiating the discussion.
We will thoroughly evaluate patients for treatable or reversible medical conditions that can effect erectile performance. Once we understand the diagnosis, we have an outstanding variety of medical and surgical options at our disposal that can give men back the confidence and ability to perform. |
Oral medications: Viagra, Levitra and Cialis are multi-billion dollar medications for a good reason, these are extremely effective for treating ED. Recent changes in the patent status on some of these medications allows for much more cost effective options than were previously available. We can review the options and help you select the medication that will best address your needs.
Vacuum Erection Device: A non-pharmacologic option, it has no risks, and no side effects, and can help many men achieve satisfying erections.
Injection Therapy: For men who do not respond to oral medications, a tiny injection of "Tri-mix” or a similar compound at the base of the penis can provide dramatic results. Unlike some stand-alone ED clinics, we encourage patients to select their own compounding pharmacy, we accept insurance, and we do not force anyone into “subscription” plans. We work with many different compounding pharmacies that offer a wide variety of formulations. We can help you find the one that is best for your situation.
Surgical Implant / Penile Prosthesis: Some men will not respond to any medical therapies. As surgeons, we offer the inflatable prosthesis as an extremely effective option. This is a completely internal device, implanted in an outpatient surgical procedure, that activates and deactivates with a few pumps and provides very natural performance with satisfaction rates over 90%.
