Saturated Fat Intake May Impact Sperm Counts, Concentrations.
Bloomberg BusinessWeek (3/14) reports, "Men who eat fatty foods may be
harming their chances for fatherhood," according to a study published in the
journal Human Reproduction. Investigators found that "sperm samples from
almost 100 men on a range of diets showed those with the highest total of
saturated fat intake had lower semen counts and concentrations."
Participants "who ate more omega-3 fatty acids, found in some fish andflax, had
a larger amount of normal-shaped sperm."

<![CDATA[Welcome/Men's Health Program]]>Wed, 14 Mar 2012 16:00:12 GMThttp://www.texasregionalurology.com/2/post/2012/03/welcomemens-health-program.html Hello All. Wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for visiting the site and for following us to our new office. You can check here from time to time for news about our group, upcoming events, and posts on various topics in urology. I welcome any comments or even questions any one might have for me.
We have a great program coming up on Wednesday, March 28 at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands hospital. It is a men's health program with topics on Erectile Dysfunction, Testosterone, Prostate cancer, and BPH. My partner, Dr Dylewski and I will be both talking and available for individual questions. Other topics by other experts will include colon health, acid reflux and orthopedic issues as well. There will be food, beer tasting from a local brewery, and a golf swing analysis. The program starts at 6:30 PM. The event is free and you can call 713-222-CARE(2273) to register.
Also...Keep an I eye out. I have been in talks with Memorial Hermann along with Dr Dylewski to start a Men's Health Clinic. We are looking for this to hopefully open later this year. I'll keep you posted.
